Your file never leaves your browser

Turn the file you get into the file you need.

Clean it, reshape it, filter it or convert it by saying what you want: “remove duplicates”, “split the name column”, “only 2026, newest first”. Shape shows you exactly what changed, and does it the same way on next month’s file.

Works with the files you already have:CSVExcel (.xlsx)JSON and JSONLParquetPasted from Google SheetsExports from any tool
How it works

No formulas. No macros. Just say it.

1

Drop in your file

CSV, Excel, JSON or Parquet, straight from whatever tool you use, or pasted from a spreadsheet. Shape checks it and points out problems like duplicate rows, mixed date formats and stray spaces.

2

Say what you want

“One row per order item.” “Only 2026, newest first.” Every change shows you exactly which rows and cells it touched before you apply it, and you can undo any of them.

3

Export, or keep it for next time

Download a clean CSV or Excel file. If you’ll do this again, save your changes as a recipe and rerun them on next month’s file.

Recipes

Do it once. Next month, it takes a click.

A recipe is the list of changes you made, saved. Drop in next month’s export and they all run again, in seconds, with no AI involved. If a column was renamed, Shape asks you to match it instead of guessing.

  • The same result every time, because a rerun doesn’t ask the AI again
  • Versioned: fix a change and the old version stays as it was
  • One recipe per report or export, ready when the next file lands

Privacy

Your file stays on your computer.

Shape opens and changes your file inside your browser. It isn’t uploaded to us, and we can’t see it. That’s how it works, not a policy promise.

Stays in your browserThe file, every row in it, and your recipes.
Sent to the AI when you ask for a changeYour request, the column names, a short summary of each column and a few sample rows. Nothing is sent if you never use the chat.

Questions

Do I need to know Excel formulas or SQL?

No. You describe the change in plain English. If you do know SQL, you can read or edit what each change does.

How big a file can it handle?

Millions of rows work fine on a normal laptop. Over about 500 MB, things can get slow, since everything runs in your browser.

What if next month’s file has different columns?

Shape matches columns by name, including ones it has seen renamed before. Anything it can’t match, it asks you about before running.

What does it cost?

It’s free while in early access. Without an account you get 15 AI requests a day to try it; a free account gets 100.

Can my team share recipes?

You can create a workspace and invite people today. Sharing recipes within a workspace is coming next.
